In this way, the fruit develops without fertilization. As a result of this technique, the Sindhu mango prevents the formation of seeds or produces only very thin seeds. 

The Sindhu mango has a practically non-viable seed, which does not have an embryo and makes up only about 3–4% of the total weight of the fruit.
